Outer Frame Studio Participant Release and Agreement

Identification of Parties

This agreement is entered into between Outer Frame Studio (“Studio”) and the participant identified below (“Participant”).

This agreement applies only to participants who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Requests involving participants under the age of eighteen (18) will be considered on a case-by-case basis and require separate consent and documentation.

Identification Requirements

Participants must present a valid government-issued photo identification prior to the start of a session. Outer Frame Studio reserves the right to refuse or cancel a session if age or identity cannot be reasonably verified.

Grant of Rights

The Participant grants Outer Frame Studio permission to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture the Participant’s likeness, image, voice, and appearance during the session.

The Participant further grants Outer Frame Studio permission to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and share photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media created during the session.

Permitted Uses

Content created during the session may be used by Outer Frame Studio for lawful purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Portfolio display
  • Website content
  • Social media platforms
  • Promotional materials
  • Publications
  • Exhibitions
  • Educational content
  • Studio marketing and branding

Collaborative Projects

Outer Frame Studio is built around creative collaboration. Concepts, locations, styling, themes, and shot ideas may be developed before or during a session by any participant involved in the project.

While every effort will be made to achieve the creative goals discussed prior to the session, participants understand that factors such as weather, lighting, location conditions, equipment limitations, scheduling constraints, and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the final results.

Participants are encouraged to share ideas and feedback throughout the creative process.

Participant Use Rights

The Participant may use photographs or videos provided by Outer Frame Studio for personal portfolios, modeling portfolios, social media, self-promotion, and other lawful personal or professional purposes.

Outer Frame Studio retains ownership of all photographs, videos, and other media created during the session. Participants are granted a non-exclusive license to use content delivered to them for the purposes described above.

Content provided by Outer Frame Studio must be used in the form delivered. Resizing that maintains the original aspect ratio is permitted when necessary for publication or display. Cropping, filtering, retouching, manipulation, alteration, or other modifications are not permitted without prior permission from Outer Frame Studio.

Ownership and Copyright

Outer Frame Studio retains ownership and copyright of all original photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media created during the session.

Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership or copyright to the Participant.

Editing and Alteration

The Participant understands that photographs and video recordings may be edited, retouched, cropped, color graded, combined with other content, or otherwise modified by Outer Frame Studio as part of the creative process.

Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve the integrity and intent of the original work.

Deliverables

Outer Frame Studio generally intends to provide participants with edited photographs, videos, or other content from a session. However, the quantity, format, style, and delivery timeline may vary depending on the nature of the project.

While every reasonable effort will be made to provide deliverables, circumstances such as equipment failure, file corruption, environmental conditions, safety concerns, scheduling conflicts, or other unforeseen events may occasionally prevent the delivery of some or all content.

Photography and video projects are inherently creative in nature, and not every concept, session, or recording will produce results that meet the artistic or technical standards expected by Outer Frame Studio. In rare cases, content may not be delivered if the final results are determined to be unsuitable for publication, presentation, or distribution.

Participation in a session does not guarantee a specific number of images, videos, edits, poses, concepts, or final deliverables unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.

Compensation

Any compensation, reimbursement, trade-for-portfolio arrangement, or other consideration related to the session shall be determined separately between the Participant and Outer Frame Studio.

Unless otherwise agreed, participation in a session does not create any right to future compensation, royalties, or residual payments resulting from the use of the content.

Content Removal Requests

Participants may submit a Content Removal Request to Outer Frame Studio at any time.

Outer Frame Studio will make reasonable, good-faith efforts to remove content from websites, social media accounts, and other locations under its direct control. However, participants acknowledge that once content has been published, shared, downloaded, archived, indexed by search engines, or redistributed by third parties, complete removal may not be possible.

Outer Frame Studio cannot guarantee the removal of content from sources outside its direct control.

Participant Representations

The Participant certifies that:

  • The information provided in this agreement is accurate.
  • Participation is voluntary.
  • The Participant has the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
  • Any permissions required for locations, props, animals, vehicles, or other items personally supplied by the Participant have been obtained by the Participant.

Safety and Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner.

Outer Frame Studio reserves the right to pause, modify, reschedule, or terminate a session if safety concerns, environmental conditions, inappropriate behavior, equipment issues, legal concerns, or other circumstances make continuation of the session unreasonable.

Release of Liability

The Participant acknowledges that photography and video sessions may involve travel, outdoor environments, physical activity, weather conditions, props, animals, or other elements that carry ordinary risks.

The Participant voluntarily assumes responsibility for their participation and releases Outer Frame Studio from claims arising from ordinary risks associated with participation, except where prohibited by law.
